Girl Scouts of Gateway Council will make every effort to ensure that no girl is denied participation in our Girl Scout Program due to financial constraints. Gateway Council offers limited financial aid for girls who qualify due to financial hardship.
Requirements to request financial assistance:
• Girl is between Kindergarten and Senior year of high school.
• Girl is unable to participate without financial assistance.
• Caregiver will provide hardship letter/reason for requesting financial aid section must be completed (located below)
• Girl Scout will be encouraged to participate in Sweets & Treats and Cookie programs to support ongoing membership and uniform purchases and their overall Girl Scout experience. Product program participation helps Gateway Council be able to offer financial aid to future Girl Scouts.
Process for requesting Financial Assistance:
• Create account, select troop and complete membership application at MYGS located at mygs.girlscouts.org
• Select payment option of “Financial Aid”.
• Complete one application per family (including all girls in one application).
• Complete all portions of the financial assistance application.
Once submitted our team will review the application and follow up via email.
